An intensive in Generative Trance Work

The Trance Camp is a personal transformation program that is a true experience for anyone interested in exploring their connection with creativity and change.
We understand Trance as a state of natural learning that comes from within, not as an artificial state created, directed and controlled from outside by someone, a "hypnotist". In the Trance Camp we will learn how to cultivate higher states of consciousness in order to improve in health, happiness, healing capacity and capacity to help others.

The program focuses on how to use Ericksonian trance work to create powerful changes at the identity level:

A first part will distinguish the generative trance experiences introduced by Milton Erickson over the common trances (eg traditional hypnotic trances, negative symptoms trances), and identify how in this more creative way these “positive” trances can be generated in various ways.

A second part will show how generative trances can be used to rearrange identity maps for profound positive changes. We will learn how to build the reality we experience, how to create new identity maps, transform those that have become outdated and in this way allow a major positive change in our lives.

Through demonstrations, exercises, examples, debate, the participants will learn to apply these ideas in a practical way in our personal and professional work.

An open program for anyone seriously interested in generative personal change, as opposed to receiving personal therapy or learning to do therapy. The ultimate goal is to learn how to create a "Generative Self" capable of transforming our own lives in many powerful ways.

The Trance Camp is organized around central questions:

  1. How do we develop the generative trance that allows transformational work?
  2. What distinguishes a “positive” state of identity (that collaborates, that is generative) from a “negative” one (that generates suffering, symptomatic)?
  3. How are transformational changes integrated and sustained within ordinary life ("real world")?

Stephen Gilligan
Trainer principal

Stephen Gilligan, Doctor of Psychology from Stanford University, has his practice in Encinitas, California (USA).

Gilligan was part of the group of students who met with Richard Bandler and John Grinder, founders of NLP, during their training at the University of California at Santa Cruz between 1974-1977.

Milton Erickson and Gregory Bateson were also his teachers and source of inspiration for him.

After earning his Ph.D., Gilligan became one of the leading professors and practitioners of Ericksonian hypnotherapy and, motivated by his own experience as a therapist and teacher, as well as his own quest, developed a new practice of radical "awakening" incorporating Ericksonian psychotherapy. , Aikido, Buddhism, meditation, and performing arts.

His work, known as ego interaction psychotherapy, reconnects mind and body, processes, encourages and supports radical change. The cornerstone of interaction with Self is understanding and the sponsorship and sponsorship process.
